Exhaust System Assembly

Front and Middle Exhaust Pipe

The front section of the exhaust pipe guides the hot gases generated from burning of fuel in cylinders through the middle and tail sections of the pipe, which releases gases into air. The middle section containing a catalytic converter reduces the content of Nox and HC gases exhausted to prevent air-pollution.

Muffler

The tail end of the exhaust pipe is named muffler. It suppresses the noise generated from the process of expelling hot compressed gases through the exhaust pipe to a tolerable level.

Exhaust Manifold

To comply with the regulations and prolong the usage life of the product, the materials of exhaust manifold has been upgraded from a general steel pipe to heat-resistant stainless steel over years. The modern exhaust manifold is now produced through a series of stringent processes, including forming stainless steel pipes, pipe bending and fusing of steel joints. A stainless steel extension tube is attached when it is necessary to absorb the vibration from the engine. The exhaust manifold must be designed to prevent interference between cylinders when expelling exhaust and to ensure complete elimination of the waste gases.
