Steering Column Assembly

Electronic Power System

The electronic power system is a more advanced steering system. Steering is controlled and aided with electronic power from the battery and it uses an electronic module for higher precision and better control. Since the system does not use the power from the car's generators directly, power loss does not occur (for hydraulic system, the maximum loss are ranged from 5 to 10 horsepower). The system only consumes electric energy when steering aid is needed; therefore power loss is reduced efficiently.

Steering Column Assembly

The power generated from the running engine drives the power pump to pressurize the hydraulic oil. Pressure is then transmitted through the pressure tube to the power cylinder of the power steering system. When the steering wheel is turned, the valve opens and allows the power carried by the hydraulic oil to enter the steering assembly and provide auxiliary power to steering. The oil then returns to the tank through the reversing oil pipe. The whole process could make steering effective and effortless.
